     Walgreens first store opened it's doors in the year 1901. Since then Walgreens has undergone many changes and has become one of America's most trusted pharmacies. A Walgreens can be found almost at every corner, which offers convenience to its customers. Part of its convenience is to have shelves fully stocked of products for customers to come by and pick up what ever they need.

1. Improve Inventory System

Walgreens Inventory System consists of a process where employees must scan the Universal Product Code on shelves with a Telxon. The Telxon is a piece of portable hardware that employees can use to order products and also do many other things. When ordering, the screen tells the employee the number of a certain product are "on hand", meaning that there are in the store. It also tells you in the same screen when the store recieved it's last shipment of the product scanned.
 The problem frequently encountered with the ordering process is that the is an excess in product or in counts and the product is not found on the shelves. Although the same tool is used and all the point of sales are recorded to the database, numbers of products are inaccurate.
